Serbia Car/LCV Sales : 2018
This was the best year since 2011 with a 6% increase for 2018. It's a challenge to get data for this nation of the Balkan region but finally here it is. Green shows market gain and Škoda certainly managed that, taking back the top spot with authority. Fiat too did well, but not by enough to retain its top ranking.
Yellow is increase but with a reduced slice of the pie with Toyota notably in

Bosnia-Herzegovina Passenger Car Sales : 2018
Sales were slowing as the year came to a close but ended up at +1.1% for the year. That's a trend across Europe but this is a mild reaction compared to most as new emissions standards kick in. In the chart below green shows increase and blue decrease.
Škoda and VW now command over a third of the total registrations, with the former pulling away from its owner brand. Mind you it has been the

Greece Top 50 Models : 2018
Small cars are king in Greece, with the Qashqai being the first of the 'larger' models. Sales were up overall so most models were also as you would expect. Japanese brands do better here, with Toyota having the best selling model and by some margin.

Cyprus Passenger Car Sales : 2018
The data is all passenger cars, including taxis and the like. Sales here were the same for this year compared to the previous 12 months. Toyota took the lead in 2017 and held it again. Kia has ideas of the top spot and did close the gap. However, below the top two, it hasn't been a good year, with most suffering falls. Land Rover is doing well, entering into the top 10. That said, premium

Bulgaria / Serbia / Croatia JLR Comparison : 2010-16
Here we have three nations in the south of Europe, all fairly close in size. Bulgaria and Serbia are about 26,000 each while Croatia adds 10,000 units comparing the last seven years of average sales. So let's compare them. All buy similar numbers of premium cars.
Bulgaria: LR is a popular marque with 0.83% of total sales. Unfortunately for JLR, Jaguar isn't so combined they can't quite make

Slovenia / Hungary JLR Comparison : 2010-16
Two countries in central Europe are here compared for JLR sales and penetration. They are similar in sales (Slovenia 56,000 and 66,000 for Hungary) but also about the same with premium popularity, so this is very much an even contest.
Slovenia: JLR isn't strong here with just 0.13% of the total sales for the country. Jaguar in particular is very limited, but 2017 looks like it will be much

Bulgaria Car/LCV Sales - Brand / 2016
Sales here were up 4.4% in 2016, the best since 2008. Finding data is not easy for this nation and some of the smaller brands I have gaps in historical sales. Dacia won the year, but with a reduced margin. It's now been top since 2013. VW back in 2012 but finds itself ninth this year.
In the chart below, pale yellow represents a reduction in registrations, pale blue is increase but lost

Slovenia Car Sales - Brand / 2016
Registrations have now been up four years in a row and the total is the best since 2008. Renault was the top selling brand for so long but VW has taken that crown for the last three years. This is the lowest percentage share since at least 1993, where I run out of history.
In the chart below, pale yellow represents a reduction in registrations, pale blue is increase but lost market share. Green

Serbia Car Sales - Brand / 2016
Car sales increased 25.5% in 2016, the second year of growth. Sales are still less than half of what they were a decades ago, but signs of improvement in that strong performance. Škoda is the top selling brand, but if the sales of Fiat and FAS (Fiat Auto Serbia), then Fiat is the bigger brand.
I find GAZ suddenly turning up and selling 782 vehicles confusing but it may have been a bulk order.

Croatia Car Sales - Brand / 2016
Three consecutive years of increase has led to the best sales for the decade, still short of the best years but now there is an upward trend. VW took the top spot in 2011 and still has it but lost some ground this year. The gap to Opel at second is still sizable though. Suzuki had a great year and got to easily its highest ranking ever. Peugeot in contrast has been slipping down a greasy pole
Cyprus Car Sales - Brand / 2016
Three years of strong increases has improved sales but still well short of the best sales ten years ago. Nissan became the best selling brand in 2008 and have remained so except for a hiccup in 2014. Honda and Hyundai did well but both had poor a 2015. That seems a trend in Cyprus, with big shifts in fortune. One brand that seems to have the benefit of one mainly way shifts is Land Rover, now

Cyprus Car Sales : 1998-2003
Cyprus is a small island state in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, divided into a Greek and Turkish side. I presume car sales are for the whole island. Sales are not large in number and there are many brands. Things change rapidly here as you will see. They tend to in smaller markets.
VW was top in the year 2000 but fell to 5th in 2001. Mitsubishi dropped from 2nd in 1999 to 8th in 2000 and for

Bulgaria Car/LCV Sales By Brand : 2005-09
The Toyota Yaris suitably painted in battleship grey. They still sold well
Sales bounced around in Bulgaria at this time. Mind you that is how things seem to be in this nation. Sales had been around 10,000 earlier in the decade and here they were at 57,000 in 2008. That sort of increase usually doesn't last and the economic downturn took effect in 2009. As bad as that fall was, up until and

Bulgaria Car/LCV Sales By Brand : 2000-04
The Daewoo Lanos
The data is as accurate as I can get it but at least it gives an idea as to what has happened there. Chevrolet started in a strong position but fell away. Whether the change of ownership to GM from Daewoo in 2001 had an impact or not I'm not sure. It was certainly tight at the top in 2004.
Toyota went from 8th to 1st in five years, while Ford fell from 3rd to 6th. Overall a

Bulgaria Car/LCV Sales By Brand : 1995-99
The capital city Sofia
Data for countries like Bulgaria isn't that easy to find. Some years ago it was easier and below are sales for both cars and light commercial vehicles, which explains a few of the unusual names. It's not a large car market as the country is not that financially well endowed.
Lada started the period well ahead but fell away to end up 13th. Daewoo ended up the most

Car Sales Cyprus: 2011
It is hard to get car sales figures for Cyprus, but super sleuth here has managed to put something together. Between 2004-2008, sales boomed but were pegged back by the recession, but still remain quite strong.
In 2008, Nissan took the lead for the first time and are now running away with it. Ford, leader in 2006-2007, are the only brand really keeping in touch. Front runners prior to 2006

Car Sales Serbia: 2011
Car sales took quite a hit in 2011 and now this is the 4th consecutive year of decrease so things are a bit difficult.
Car maker Zastava became FAS in 2009 (Fiat Automobili Srbija), which makes an obsolete Fiat Punto car. Fiat sales then basically stopped in 2010, but picked up again this year. FAS sales took off for a couple of years, but have fallen badly in 2011, perhaps due to the ending of

Car Sales Slovenia: 2011
The car market here has proved very consistent. It hasn't had the recent 'boom and bust' cycle of other countries. They have one car plant (Renault - 200,000 made in 2010), and that brand naturally enough leads sales. European marques dominate, but not premium ones.
Jaroslav from the Czech Rep suggested increase/decrease figure were more useful than market share, which you can roughly tell for
