Three consecutive years of increase has led to the best sales for the decade, still short of the best years but now there is an upward trend. VW took the top spot in 2011 and still has it but lost some ground this year. The gap to Opel at second is still sizable though. Suzuki had a great year and got to easily its highest ranking ever.
